Colorful Beach House

I can’t help but think about the beach this time of year.  Or anytime of year, actually.  I found this article in House Beautiful with the most amazing photos of a beach house with lots of unapologetic color.  It makes me so happy, I just had to share it with you!

The owner of this beach cottage lives most of the year in London.  After a cold and wet winter season, I bet she is tickled to death to spend time in this sunny, happy place!

No fear of color here.  It works because the background is white, which keeps it from being too chaotic.

The designer used lots of animal motifs in this cottage.  See if you can spot them all.

I heart this small pink refrigerator! It’s made by SMEG and is available through Sears!  And can you see the “Keep Calm and Carry On” print to the right?

I love how there are so many graphic patterns throughout.  Lots of polka dots, too, which keeps everything light and fun.

Love the turquoise with the red against the white background.  Super crisp.  Look at that fabulous little side table!

Turquoise and avocado in a children’s room.  That whale wallpaper is fabulous!

Retro bathroom.  *Sigh*

The colors in this bedroom are more grown-up.   Lovin’ those orange lamps.

Wish I could vacation here, don’t you?  If any of you need help making your vacation home a dreamy get-away from the harshness of reality, I barter decorating for beach vacations . . .

I love every single picture but that scalloped edge coffe table in the first set is to die for! I would love to live in that space:)

If any of you have a vacation home that will need a deep cleaning after your busiest season look no further, we don’t mind traveling.

Some of the interiors of this house looks quite childish with too many colors but some of the rooms look really gorgeous. Maybe the overflow of colors is the point of color therapy. Anyway I wouldn’t mind to try this color therapy living for a while.

    Elli,
This house does have a very youthful look. I think most people couldn’t take this constant color in their homes, but it’s super-fun for a vacation home (or rental)!
