Life’s a Beach . . . But You Already Know That

I’m headed home from the beach today and coming back to reality.

This is where we stayed the first few days.  I must admit I couldn’t resist staging it up a bit so that I could really enjoy our stay.

This was the way it looked when we arrived:

before a little staging . . .

This was the view of the Gulf of Mexico from our balcony:

Then we met up with friends in another beach town about 3 hours away.  This was our bedroom there:

I love this mirror!

And our view from our bedroom window:

This gorgeous condo belongs to my friend’s parents, and this is the room we’ve had in previous years:

I love this mirrored armoire – so glamorous!

Anywho, time to head home and figure out my summer schedule now that the kids are out of school!  Does your whole schedule change in the summer, too?  Bye, bye, beautiful beach . . .

oh, I love the bedside lamps in the 3rd to last photo, so feminish…what kind of style you call it? transitional?

I love how you could not help staging the vacation rental! I love the new placement of the furniture. Adding that dinning chair makes it look so much less matchy!

It just shows how much you love what you do!

what a difference a little staging made in your condo! They should permanently change it that way! And your friend’s condo is totally GORGEOUS! Most people’s homes don’t even look like that let alone their vacation home!

Did you take cushions and pictures with you or did you find them all in the condo? Looks good..the light cushions really cut through the darkness of the room.

glad you asked, carol! i switched around a few accessories, pulled the cushions from a bedroom and a closet, and brought in an outdoor rug from the balcony. i find that people often put their best accessories/art in seldom used rooms, rather than where they spend the most time!

I thought that view looked familiar! I’m from that area and last summer spent a couple of weeks in Destin at a condo on the beach. Love your friends’ condo – beautiful

I LOVE that you rearranged the furniture to make your stay better!!!! I have always done that too but kept it my guilty secret because I felt like a busy body 😉
My Mom lives in Pensacola and the beaches ARE the most gorgeous – sand as soft as flour and water as warm as a spa!
