Disturbing Decor for Halloween

No doubt, disturbing is “in” this Halloween.   But in a natural, earthy kind of way.  Martha Stewart calls the floral creation on the left a “deranged arrangement.”  I love the creepy simplicity of this snake wreath below on the right.

The crafty girl from The Art of Doing Stuff made this glamorous, yet macabre wreath for her front door.

I’ve been known to spook people out with my own disturbing decor.  I snapped this photo one afternoon last October when the light was filtering through my windows in a bizarre kind of way.  This is the effect it had on a portion of my living room, no retouching or camera tricks!

Now THAT’S spooky!!!  For more of my spooky Halloween interiors, check out My Haunted House.

I LOVE the lighting of your interior photo! Classy with a touch of Creepyness! Great idea with the spider webs!

Kristie, you ought to see about writing for HER magazine…you do such a great job and I could see your blog fitting right in.

Thanks, Julie. I might look into that – do you know anyone who works for that mag?
