Rockefeller Center Storefront Display Winner

Anthropologie, of course!  There is always a contest during the holidays in New York to see who is able to create the most fetching storefront.  The way Anthropologie merchandises and stages vignettes is super whimsical, sometimes bizarre, and always fun.  There’s usually a theme of sorts, or a few themes – that was certainly the case when I visited London’s Anthropologie last year (click here).

There certainly used a mix of natural and faux-natural components.

Look closely at this “spider web.”  Can you see the tiny old dollhouse furniture trapped in the wire that is the web?

Anthropologie vignettes always take me to some magical place that feels nostalgic, but more like a dream than a memory.  Am I the only one that feels that way?

What child wouldn’t love a million little boxes to stack and create a home for all their treasures?

Oh, and their clothes rock, too.

If you want to take a look at some of the competing windows, check out this piece from Elle Decor:  Winter Wonderlands.
