I found a rusty old bike many years ago at a yard sale. I had seen a photo of a vintage bike propped up against the front of a house with a basket of trailing flowers attached to the front, so I bought the bike in spite of the rust and the ruined tires. I actually did attach a basket and had some ivy growing out of it for one season. It’s been under our deck for many years now. Mr. Man recently had it refurbished as a surprise for me, and I was thrilled. Here’s my oldie but goodie:
With new tires and chain, a recycled seat, and a lot less rust – now she’s the bomb! Unfortunately, Mr. Man forgot to get the brakes fixed. So no hills for me until we get that little thing taken care of. I just can’t help myself but break into vintage Queen’s “Bicycle, bicycle! I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike. I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I like . . . “
It’s just waiting to whisk you away to cooking club!
Haha, good one.
She looks beautiful…kudos to that great husband of yours!
Yes, Carol, he’s a keeper 🙂
How wonderful. Can’t wait ’til it’s bike riding weather! Wahoo!
Warmly, Michelle
