Thinking about New Year's resolutions typically make me feel burdened. Maybe that's because my every day is full of lists of tasks I want to get done or things I want to achieve. This year, I wrote down a few simple thoughts that whisper encouragement to me in this new year. I hope they will do the same for you.
I like these kind of aspirations, don't you? Happy New Year to you!
great sentiments for a new year!
AHHHH…..how beautiful, Kristie. This is the kind of morning for whispers. These are the right kind of commitments to make–those of the heart and the character. The last one speaks to me particularly. It will take much work, but with such a vision in mind, I will make it. Our grandson Codi left yesterday, so it is too quiet around here….but post-teenager is a bit of a clean up! Our empty nest will get feathered in a fresh way. Blessings upon your New Year, Kristie.

i love the pictures, but honestly, looking at that mantle with the beads and all, how do you dust that?
Julia, that is actually in my living room. I honestly don’t dust it a lot! But it makes me happy to look at it 🙂

Kristie, I always enjoy every new idea – especially these New Year resolutions which should be globally what people want for ourselves and all our familes, communities and neighbors. Thank you for the honesty, the softness and the gentleness of the way you expressed these sentiments.

All the best in the new year for you and your family, Kristie. I've really enjoyed following your blog. I, too, spend the days reflecting and striving to live a life that gives me and those around me joy. So I really appreciate your sentiments. I would also add that I hope we all remember to see the humour in our lives and laugh as much as possible. Living a life that shows you respect yourself and others will allow you to leave a great legacy. Cheers!
Happy New Year 2013 to you my friend! I wish you continued success in all that you do. Thanks for being a great friend- so glad we met. Hope to meet you soon in person- maybe it will be this year 2013! Best to you and your family! xo
