Colorful Home Tour: Jamie Levitt

Image from The DecorologistWant to add life and vitality to your home?  Then add a heavy dose of saturated color.  Designer Jamie Levitt did just that in her own family home.  Think dark gray is boring?  See how fabulous it looks in her dining room when paired with fun, saturated color in chair fabrics and adjacent wall colors.

This white kitchen with black bamboo floors wakes up when punches of bold, citrusy colors are added.  Did I mention this California designer is a mother of four?  Maybe this kitchen helps her wake up in the morning, too!Image from The Decorologist

Jamie’s master bedroom is a perfect mix of playful color and modern elegance.  Blues and greens are tempered with plenty of white and black.Image from The Decorologist

Image from The DecorologistHer son’s room is saturated in orange.  Not my personal favorite, but full of personality.  The browns in the bamboo window coverings and the bed frame ground this strong color.

This guest room is chocked full of fabulous color:  sky blue, chartreuse green, and hot pink.  I think I’ll just hang out in here for awhile.Image from The Decorologist

Do you have the nerve or verve to add this kind of color to your home?
