Desert Hotel Chic

Good morning, lovelies! I am writing from my hotel bed in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona. This is the view out our private balcony:

Our room is lovely – butter yellows, corals, peaches, and aquas.

Lots of subtle texture in this room. Textured wallpaper and carpeting feels more luxurious than flat color and surfaces.

I love the art on the wall here – it’s a photograph of three Maricopa women collecting fuit of the Saguaro cactus, Arizona circa 1907.

One more day in desert Paradise before we head home to Nashville. It actually hasn’t been all play – I actually did an on-line design consultation one day, and I’ve managed to squeeze in a little bit of blogging. Those palm trees and that lovely sparkling water in the desert…just georgeous. I like the carpet they had made looking like ripples in the sand dunes too.
