Color in the Kitchen

Ready for a dose of color?  Today I’m sharing some fabulous kitchens with brave color choices.  This designer used turquoise on the counter tops, island, flooring, ceiling, and interior of the cabinets.  But with lots of bright white to counterbalance, it works.

Kelly green lacquer!  It’s a tiny space, so why not amp up the personality?

This red doesn’t look so bold  considering the color choices we just saw!  Barn red siding on the back wall takes the edge off this otherwise industrial-looking kitchen.

Mint green makes for a granny-chic kitchen full of nostalgia and family togetherness.

The faux finish on these green cabinets evokes a  European farm-house feeling.

Black and white make an unexpected color combo in this Edwardian-vibe kitchen.  Cabinetry is painted in Benjamin Moore’s Midsummer Night’s Dream.

And finally, a butter yellow kitchen will always make you smile.  Now what color is YOUR dream kitchen?

Love the turquoise, love the mint green. Would probably prefer the buttery yellow. Would lose my mind in the kelly green!

My favorite room in the house (and the only one in which I get total decorating liberty!!) I was leaning towards my dream kitchen being green and yellow, but after my green dishes started chipping and falling apart (and discontinued,) I’m considering the turquoise and red combo espoused by a certain blog a few weeks ago 🙂 I do like those mint green cabinets, though…

LOVING the black and white one! I love the Kelly green, but I feel like it needs some black to tone it down.

Red – loved the juxtaposition of old and new in the red kitchen!

I absolutely love the black and white and the Kelly green. My kitchen is bright red with black and white floors and coca cola everywhere. When people visit, they love the diner/nostalgic feel of the kitchen.
