This weekend I’m headed out to Dickson, TN to teach a decorating seminar on hanging art and accessorizing. You know how I love to get things up onto the wall!
If you liked my previous post about decorating with maps and have considered a wall mural map for your child’s room (or rec room or office), here’s one for you: Pottery Barn Kids has one available only online. When I first wrote the post I included a picture of it, but at the time it was “no long available”. But it’s back. And get this: it’s dry erase! How fun is that?
Here are the stats:
- 13′ wide x 9′ high.
- Eight panels feature all the world’s continents and oceans.
- Topographical design helps develop a physical sense of each region.
- Dry-erase surface means kids can mark places they’ve been or places they’re learning about.
- Catalog/Internet Exclusive.
- $199 (for an entire wall and a HUGE statement, it’s not a bad price!)
.
Oh oh oh how I want this! Every Sunday I go by the big map at church and think I really want one for my house.
Hammacher Schlemmer has the exact same map for $149.95. Do a google search for coupon codes, and you can probably get free shipping, too. We hung ours with double-sided tape instead of doing it the “wall paper method.” It was quicker and easier, and we’ll be able to take it with us if we ever move. If you have ceilings at the traditional height, you will have to cut off a bit of the top/bottom of the map to make it fit.
Great weblog right here! Also your site lots up fast! What host are you using? Can I get your affiliate link in your host? I wish my website loaded up as fast as yours lol
