Bathing in My Dreams

Hope your weekend is off to a good start!  Today I’ve been working up a decoration consultation for a client and still need to reorganize all the staging props I picked up yesterday after de-staging a client’s home that is now under contract (hurray!).  Then I might watch a movie with Mr. Man tonight – we just got “Dinner with Schmucks” from Netflix.  Haven’t heard good reviews on it, so I hope we aren’t schmucks for watching it.

I had to do some shopping in Lowe’s this week and was shamefully lusting after this huge clawfoot soaker tub.

Last night as I soaked in my very dingy 1939 tub (NOT clawfoot), I closed my eyes and dreamed about this:

This would be good, too.  I love the idea of a chair in the bathroom, seems like a nice place to hold a book and a towel . . .

What are you dreaming about this weekend?

We have just ordered a new king-sized bed!! Not sure exactly when it will be here, but I bought sheets today (500 thread count – on sale, no less!) and am perusing comforters and coverlets online. I can’t wait to throw out our too small, bent-framed queen and sleep in luxury!

Now THAT sounds like a dream, Cathy! I’d love to have a king-size bed, but am quite committed to antique furniture, and those old-timey people liked to sleep close to stay warm in their double beds!

looking at those beautiful tubs and thinking that they would probably attract a lot less mildew than a standard tile surround tub. they are definitely romantic!
